REDISCOVERING CHILDHOOD

Inquire | Play | Connect

We believe that children are rich with wonder and ingenuity. Our preschool program motivates curiosity, inspires inquiry and aims to establish a lifelong love for learning and the natural world. With a flexible schedule and curriculum that emerge through exploration, we embrace free-play, problem-solving, expressiveness and conversation. Children spend an equal amount of time indoors and outdoors, with a curriculum developed in response to children’s thoughts, questions, ideas and interests. Rediscovering Childhood operates in seasonal semesters that run for 10 consecutive weeks (Fall, Winter, Spring). We recommend that children are enrolled consecutively, as the program becomes more engaging when children have the opportunity to build on their experiences from the previous day. The program is designed to offer children one day indoors and one day outdoors with a 2 or 4 day option per week. On Mondays and Wednesdays, children experience an indoor classroom setting. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, children experience outdoor ‘wild-spaces’ (natural areas near the Elbow River).
